about
We are inviting people who hold social transformation at the center of their work and lives to explore and study participatory practices and enter deep inquiry together about what is needed now in social justice/equity work.
We believe that we have the wisdom, experience and perspective to take our social justice and equity work to the next level; a strong foundation of social critique and power analysis; the cultural responsiveness and relationships to engage everyone; and, both enough audacity to challenge the powers that be as well as enough humility to know there is more to learn.
how we got started
If you have some time, here’s the story of our inquiry:
Here is a short (10 minute) harvest video from our first gathering in New York in September:
who we are
Tuesday Ryan-Hart

Both worldly and true to her Columbus, Ohio, roots, Tuesday knows in her bones what community building is about. As a host, she invites us there and holds us through the journey. Her background in domestic violence work and related movement building in her hometown was a deep teacher. Today, she holds space for communities and movements that are getting to the heart of it.

Kelly McGowan
Kelly claims both the Lower East Side of NYC and the Catskills as home. After years of movement and organization building around housing, HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ youth, Kelly went looking for new ways to convene and structure our selves, which is how she began studying participatory leadership. She continues to question business as usual and hold space for emerging leadership.
